The rhythm of modern life, the incessant changes, the fight for survival, the daily competitivity, the incredible human concentration in big cities and all the factors of today’s society are provoking all types of tension, stress, psychological states and reactions in our psyche, which create within us the necessity to study and reflect about ourselves. The words psychotherapy, psychoanalysis, self-analysis, psychopathology, personal development, psychosomatic dynamic, anti-stress relaxation, etc. are very common nowadays.

Anthropology and mythology are a fundamental part of these studies. Through anthropology we study the great cultures of the past, civilisations that have disappeared but not died because their teachings, heritage, pantheons and knowledge still remain and are valuable for those eager to study them and by doing so understanding their own origins.

Oriental Philosophy

One of the reasons why people are interested in the studies of self-knowledge is because they want to find the meaning of life, some strive to find the existential answers to: Who am I? Where do I come from? What’s the meaning of life? Most stop looking as they are absorbed by the daily routine, life, work, etc., they remain identified or become accustomed to a life that has been given to them… However there are people who find the answers and fill their life with plenitude and happiness.
